Huge honour for Andy Barratt
PriDE’s Andrew Barratt was celebrating after being awarded the Air Officer Commanding’s Commendation for his outstanding efforts. Andy, a Chargehand Airfield Electrician, has been based at the station for 31 years, and Group Captain T J O’Brien stated in a letter: ‘Your dedication and professionalism have directly affected the capability of the airfield’.
The commendation is in connection with the Queen’s Birthday honours list, as all three services nominate outstanding people for recognition. Andy and his wife attended a formal ceremony at the Officer’s Mess at Northolt, where he was presented with the commendation.
Many congratulations to Andy, and well done!
