Dental Centre now ‘one of the best in the service’

To provide a state of the art dental centre for the people living and based at Bicester Garrison.

Innovation

The Project Team utilised the centre’s down time and ran a 200-metre mains cabling concurrently with the project. This significantly reduced disruption to the staff.

Added Value

The team liaised with military personnel on a daily basis to ensure work would not impact operations, and to ensure everything was being delivered to the client’s requirements.

Background

The dental centre at Bicester Garrison was run down and the people from the military community were having to travel to other bases for treatment. The refurbishment was delivered within just nine weeks and the adjoining Medical Centre was fully operational throughout the duration of the work. The Principal Dental Officer, Col Woodward-Court believed that the centre has gone from one in the greatest need of refurbishment to one of the best within the DDS.
