DMRC Headley Court is a tri-service military rehabilitation unit providing patient treatment through intensive and comprehensive residential programmes. The programmes support injured personnel in reclaiming function, mobility, independence and if possible, work with the patients to get them back to peak physical fitness to return to active service.
The rehabilitation building extends over three floors, and this particular unit was on the third floor. The ablutions were in desperate need of upgrade and the facilities made more accessible to injured patients. The project included increased ventilation within the ward, improved lighting which is also more sustainable and automatic lighting and toilet flushing.
